Spread the Word

There are thousands--no, millions--of parents and students who can benefit from the information and inspiration in The New Global Student. You can help them by flexing your creativity and getting bold about spreading the word.

Here are ten ways to build buzz:

1. If you are affiliated with a media outlet (TV, print, radio, web), please visit Maya's media page for contact info and downloadable images.

2. Tell your friends, family, neighbors and colleagues about the book and this website.
Send them this link: www.NewGlobalStudent.com

3. Get a complimentary copy of the book to review in your (relevant!) blog, website or publication. Just call (212) 572-2537.

Coming soon: a virtual blog tour and a virtual book group tour! If you'd like to participate by posting an interview/q&a with Maya on your blog or hosting Maya via phone or videocam during your book group meeting, please contact Maya's assistant, Mimi Quesada, at mimi@mayafrost.com

4. Order books in bulk for your workplace, school or other organization--and get a great discount! Call the nice folks at Random House customer service at 1-800-733-3000.

5. Contact your local high schools and bookstores. Make sure they have several copies available for students and parents in the library or counseling office. Encourage your local bookstores and libraries to order the book.

6. Spread the word to organizations in your community, including those that offer after-school activities (Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, church youth groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts), financial advisers who work with families saving for college, travel agents, exchange student organizations, or any other groups interested in seeing young people fulfill their potential. We love interesting and even quirky partnerships! Contact Tom at tom@mayafrost.com with your ideas.

7. Contact your local press--radio, television, or your local newspaper or area magazine--and suggest they do a story on The New Global Student (Maya would be happy to be interviewed!) with a local angle about how parents and students in your community are figuring out great ways to do things differently.

8. Invite Maya to speak at your convention or organization while she is touring in the US next summer! Contact Tom at tom@mayafrost.com

9. Join the New Globals group on Facebook and encourage your Facebook friends to join, too!

10. Start an online or local Bold School group to talk about the book with those in your community. Meet your tribe!  Read tips for Bold School Club coordinators here.

Thank you so much for your help!  I really appreciate your time and energy and I'm very grateful for your support.  There are so many parents and students out there who really need this information--let's spread the word together!

I'd love to hear about your efforts and would be happy to help any way I can.   Send me a personal message at Maya@MayaFrost.com

Thanks again....

Hugs & High Fives,

Maya
